Do you handle road closures and permits?
Yes. For complex lifts in busy areas like Guildford or Reading, we manage the entire logistics process. This includes local authority liaison, traffic management, road closure permits, and parking suspensions nationwide.
What is the difference between CPA Crane Hire and a Contract Lift?
With CPA Crane Hire, you provide the insurance, the lift plan, and the supervisor. With a Terranova Contract Lift, we take full responsibility. We provide the Appointed Person, the paperwork, the insurance, and the team to manage the entire operation from start to finish.
What information do I need to get a crane hire quote?
To give you an accurate price, we need to know the weight to be lifted (in tonnes) and the radius (the distance from the centre of the crane to where the load needs to be placed). If you aren’t sure, we can book a site survey to confirm the requirements.
Can you lift in tight or restricted city sites?
We specialise in restricted access. Our fleet includes compact City Cranes and Mini Spider Cranes designed specifically for tight streets and internal lifting projects where space is at a premium.
What specialist lifting equipment do you provide?
We supply everything, including spreader beams, man baskets, glass suction lifters, and boat slings. We also provide heavy-duty ground mats to protect your site and ensure a stable setup.
Do you provide heavy haulage as well as lifting?
Yes. We provide a complete lift and shift service across the South of Enlgand. Our haulage fleet includes HIABs, low loaders, and extendable trailers to transport over-sized or heavy loads directly to your site.
Are your operators fully qualified?
Every member of our team is CPCS qualified and highly experienced. Whether we are sending a Crane Operator to Canterbury or an Appointed Person to a site in Portsmouth, you are getting a professional who understands the safety and technical requirements of the job.
